Home-and-Home Agreement With Oakland Completes 2019 Regular Season Schedule

The 2019 regular season schedule for the Ohio State Club Football team is complete.

The Buckeyes completed their 2019 slate Wednesday by agreeing to a home-and-home with the two-time NCFA national champion Oakland University Football Club. The Grizzlies will travel to Columbus on Sept. 22, 2019 to take on Ohio State at Noon and the Buckeyes will make a return trip to Oakland in 2020.

Ohio State and Oakland have met four times since 2013, with the Grizzlies holding a 4-0 record. The last matchup between the two schools came in 2016, a 21-13 loss for the Buckeyes. The inaugural matchup in 2013 was ruled a forfeit win for the Grizzlies, but was played to a 27-27 tie in a scrimmage-like setting.

The Grizzlies are coming off of a national runner-up finish in 2018 in which they compiled an 8-2 record and captured the Great Lakes Conference title. Ohio State finished with a 4-1 record in 2018, including a Mid-Atlantic West Division championship.

The home-and-home agreement with Oakland completes Ohio State’s 2019 regular season schedule, which includes six games, with four coming at home. The Buckeyes will host the Milwaukee Football Club, Wright State and Miami (OH) in addition to the Grizzlies and are set to make road trips to RMU-Peoria and Pittsburgh.
