The Ohio State Club Football team is just two months removed from its first national championship and has already seen its roster grow in numbers.
Thirty-five players, both returning and new, attended the first open workout on Jan. 15 and the Ohio State Club Football team is now opening all offseason practices to prospective players interested in joining for the 2020 season.
Offseason workouts are held each Wednesday from 10-11:30 p.m. at the Adventure Recreation Center on Turf Field 2. All prospective athletes MUST be currently enrolled at Ohio State and are encouraged to bring cleats as well as tennis shoes and workout attire to each workout.
(In order to be eligible to play for Ohio State Club Football, one must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and maintain a 2.0 GPA. Graduate students enrolled in a degree-seeking program are also eligible.)
The team is currently looking for all positions to enhance its roster and rebuild for its national title defense in 2020. All prospective athletes planning on attending a workout for the first time are encouraged to RSVP to head coach James Grega at osugrega@gmail.com or to the club directly at osuclubfootball@gmail.com and include any game film that they might have.
