The 2020 National Club Football Association conference schedules have been set, with a new team being added to the Mid-Atlantic West.
Entering its first year of play, Toledo Club Football was added to the NCFA’s Mid-Atlantic West division, joining Ohio State, Wright State, Miami (OH) and Pittsburgh. Ohio State will host the Rockets on Sept. 27 in Columbus – which is also currently set to serve as the season opener for both teams – as the Buckeyes prepare for their first ever national title defense.
The Buckeyes will then return to action on Oct. 3 as they will host the University of Pittsburgh. Ohio State is 4-0 all-time against Pitt’s club program, having defeated the Panthers 41-0 in 2019 in an abbreviated contest.
Ohio State is then scheduled to host its third-straight home game on Oct. 11 against non-conference foe RMU-Peoria. The Buckeyes and Eagles have met twice before, both ending in Ohio State victories. The two NCFA pillars most recently met last season, with the Buckeyes leaving Peoria, Ill. with a 42-7 victory.
Following an off week, the Buckeyes will take to the road for the first time in 2020 for a matchup with rival Miami (OH) on either Oct. 24 or Oct. 25. After losing seven straight to the Redhawks from 2012-2017, Ohio State has won two straight in the rivalry, including a 37-8 victory last season.
Finally, the Buckeyes will close their regular season with a road trip to Wright State to take on the Raiders. Ohio State defeated WSU last season, 46-2, in two quarters before the game was called just before halftime. The Raiders have not defeated the Buckeyes since 2014.
The Buckeyes still have one week left open (Nov. 1) and hope to announce an opponent and location at a later date. To view a full list of all scheduled NCFA games for 2020 visit ncfafootball.org.
