Due to new COVID-19 protocols put forth by their college that puts restrictions on travel, Gordon State (GA) has canceled its scheduled matchup with Ohio State on Sept. 19
Instead, the Buckeyes will travel to Alliance, Ohio to take on the Mount Union Purple Raiders JV squad on Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.
The Purple Raiders boast one of the best football programs in NCAA Div. III having won 13 National Championships, most recently in 2017. Their JV program opened the season on Sept. 5 against Washington and Jefferson and is scheduled to take on John Carroll on Sept. 11.
The trip to Alliance will be Ohio State’s first time back on a football field in a game-setting since winning the 2019 NCFA National Championship against Oakland on Dec. 7, 2019.
