25 Program Records Fell During 2021 National Championship Season

The 2021 Ohio State Club Football season was one to remember for a number of reasons. The Buckeyes captured their second straight national championship with a 42-27 win over George Mason on December 4 and in the process, broke multiple school records.

Ohio State’s first season of club football came in 2009, and while stats were not officially recorded until the 2012 campaign, the Buckeyes have still put up impressive numbers over the years. In 2021, 25 team and individual records were broken on offense, defense and special teams while another two team records were matched.

The Buckeye offense put together its most explosive season ever in 2021, despite a slow start. After getting shutout by Mount Union in the season opener, Ohio State averaged 40.9 points per game the rest of the way, posting a perfect 7-0 record against NCFA opponents. Meanwhile, the Ohio State defense surrendered just 12.6 points per game against NCFA opponents. All team and individual records that fell or were matched in 2021 are listed below.
