Former Ohio State Club Football wide receiver, coach Geoff Green signs with Solingen Paladins of German Football League

Geoff Green is heading back to the German Football League.

After two years away, former Ohio State Club Football player and coach Geoff Green has signed to play in the German Football League 2, this time to play for the Solingen Paladins.

Green played the 2021 season for the Frankfurt Pirates, where he led the team in all major receiving categories. He also played safety and quarterback at times for the Pirates while returning kicks and punts. After an injury cut his 2021 season short, he returned to Columbus where he coached Ohio State’s wide receivers and defensive backs in 2021 and 2022.

Green, who earned his doctorate degree from Ohio State in 2023, put together one of the greatest single seasons in National Club Football League history in 2019 when he led the league in all major receiving categories, including receptions (36), receiving yards (713) and receiving touchdowns (8). Despite playing just one season for the Buckeyes, Green still ranks third in team history in receiving yards and his 36 receptions are the fourth most in a single season in team history. He won two NCFA national titles as a Buckeye, as a player in 2019 and as a coach in 2021. He was named an NCFA First Team All-American in 2019.

The Paladins are set to open their 2024 season on April 14 against the Cologne Falcons.
