The Ohio State Club Football program is honored to receive an invitation to the Ohio Statehouse to be recognized for its 2025 NCFA National Championship victory. The program received invitations from both Senator Bill DeMora and House Representative Allison Russo to be recognized on March 4 in Columbus.
The March visit will be the first major public recognition for the Club Football team for its on-field accomplishments in the 17-year history of the program. The 2025 NCFA National Championship victory over Coppin State on Dec. 6 marked the fourth national championship win in program history.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this invitation,” said Head Coach James Grega, Jr. “It is an amazing feeling to have our program’s accomplishments recognized at such a high level. Our student-athletes and coaches have worked so hard for these moments.”
The 2025 season was historic for Ohio State Club Football, as the Buckeyes broke NCFA records for postseason award winners and All-Americans in addition to completing an undefeated season as both conference and national champions. Quarterback Niko Pappas was named NCFA Offensive MVP, defensive end Trey Jones was named NCFA Defensive MVP, cornerback Tommy Roberts III was named NCFA Freshman of the Year and Grega was named NCFA Coach of the Year, becoming the first coach to win the award twice.
