Caleb Smith

Position: Quality Control – Defense

Bio: Caleb Smith joins the coaching staff in 2025, while still eyeing a return to the field in either late 2025 or 2026.

Smith, who joined the program in 2023 as a defensive back, has been battling injuries in his time in Columbus. A transfer student as a sophomore, Smith played in the first three games of the 2023 season before an injury, followed by surgery cut his season short. The surgery and recovery also forced him to miss the entirety of the 2024 season. Despite missing time as a player, Smith’s devotion to the program is expected to impact the team as a coach in 2025 as he eyes a return to the field through his recovery.
