Chauncey Moore

Position: Co-Special Teams Coordinator / Linebackers Coach

Alma Mater: Temple University, 2022 (Bachelors), Alabama State University, 2024 (Masters)

Bio: Chauncey Moore comes to Columbus for his first season as an assistant coach in 2026 following a successful playing career both collegiately and professionally.

Moore played collegiately first at Temple University as a defensive back and special teams contributor. He appeared in 29 games, starting two, and finished his career with the Owls with 11 total tackles.

He transferred to Alabama State for his final two seasons of college football, where he saw significantly more playing time. He appeared in 21 games and collected 49 total tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups. He was named a Second Team All-SWAC performer as a graduate senior in 2023.

He spent the 2024 season as an assistant coach at Saint John’s Catholic Preparatory School in Maryland, where he coached defensive backs and assisted on special teams. In 2025, he was a training camp participant with the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League before eventually signing and playing the full season for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe (ELF).

He is tasked with coaching the linebackers group and co-coordinating the Buckeye special teams.
