Ryan Walsh

Position: Offensive Line Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach

Bio: Four years after his stellar playing career ended at Ohio State, Ryan Walsh completed his first year on the coaching staff in 2023.

Four of his five starters in 2023 were named to NCFA First Team All-American lists, with center Cam Fries and left tackle Sam Dominguez earning first team honors. The Buckeye offense rushed for an average of 145 yards per game in 2023 and scored 41.6 points per game, the second most in program history.

As a player, Walsh was a two-year starter as the Buckeye center, going 13-1 overall. He helped the team win its first ever division championship, conference championship and national championship. He was named an Academic All-American in 2019, a team captain and was later named to the first ever Ohio State Club Football All-Decade Team.

As a coach, Walsh will take over an offensive line unit that has been amongst the best in the country under prior offensive line coach Matt Thiede. He is also the first coach in program history to hold an official Strength and Conditioning title.
