Safety Jackson Gula is the latest member of the Ohio State Club Football program to earn a roster spot with Ohio State Football.
Gula officially joined Ryan Day’s squad on July 7. He joins Zach Hayes, Glorien Gough and Ian Gecse as former Club Football members currently on Ohio State’s varsity roster. He is the sixth Club Football player to be elevated to the NCAA roster under head coach James Grega, Jr., joining new teammates Hayes, Gough and Gecse in addition to former players Chris Booker and De’Shawn White.
Gula spent his freshman year at Ohio State playing for the Club Football program and made an immediate impact. Despite playing in just six games, Gula collected 29 total tackles, eight pass breakups and three interceptions en route to being named a Second Team NCFA All-American. His interception in the fourth quarter of the 2025 NCFA National Championship Game effectively ended any chances of a Coppin State comeback.
Prior to his time at Ohio State, Gula was a standout at Streetsboro High School where he posted over 400 career tackles, 12 interceptions and four forced fumbles. He is expected to continue to play safety with the varsity Buckeyes.
